Patricia Folmsbee

Patricia FolmsbeePatricia Folmsbee, is the illustrator for my Happy Anderson series.  She is an artist and teacher, has a degree in business, with a minor in psychology. Although she excels in business, her true love is in art and teaching. She especially enjoys working with children to overcome challenges in reading. She reveals her understanding of children in her striking, endearing pictures which appeal to the age group she loves. Her love of art is also revealed in the prolific artistic endeavors displayed as murals in homes and in leading professional offices, in paintings on wood, and in children’s books.

Presently she is home-schooling her beautiful, charming four year old daughter and her teenage son, who was the inspiration for the character Bobby Anderson. Patricia has structured her home-schooling activities for maximum growth in learning experiences. She enjoys the one on one experience of discussing concepts and of stressing character building while imparting knowledge. And she enjoys seeing the learning come to fruition.

The entire household enjoys art: Her mother was an art teacher; her husband, a builder, is an artist in wood home accessories and also has excellent graphic art skills; and their daughter enjoys making “picture presents.”
